January 2019 Newsletter

It’s another year and another Tay Creek festival! Make sure to mark 19 – 21 July on your calendar so you don’t miss our 12th annual weekend. As you look out of your window now you probably don’t see much inspiration for sunning yourselves or camping but don’t worry, the days are getting longer and you will light up your January blues by dreaming of a warm weekend in July.

We have a fun and festive weekend to look forward to including main stage acts such as Rory Taillon and Brooklyn Doran; making music in the Jam Tent; enjoying snacks and a BBQ at Puddleducks Café; hiking though 600 acres of woods and fields; and swimming in the creek. Children can explore the Enchanted Forest and join in games and activities. Dogs are always welcome.

There is plenty of room in the delightful tree-fringed fields for tents and RVs. Don’t forget to let us know if you plan to bring a motorhome so we can reserve your space.

Keep your eyes out for updates about Tay Creek 2019 on our Facebook page and our website (www.taycreekfestival.ca) and remember that it won’t be long before Earlybird tickets are available. We’ll be releasing our full line-up on April 16 and when we do, tickets will be on sale. There will be a limited number of these tickets, so don’t miss out!

In the meantime, mark March 8 on your calendar.  An evening of music honouring female artists of the 90s will be raising funds for our favourite two festivals: Tay Creek 2019 and The Living Roots Festival.  Details will be available on our Facebook page.

One last thing: we are always looking for more volunteers both in the run up to the festival and over the weekend itself. If you would like to earn free admission to the festival by helping out, or for any other information, please contact us at taycreekfestival@gmail.com.
